About the show
The 'Illinois' Blues Brothers perform
a musical tribute to the original 1980 cult classic
movie: 'The Blues Brothers'
As well as performing all the big hit
songs from the film, the boys also incorporate into
their show, a variety of well-known soul classics and
pop hits of the sixties era including James Brown, Sam
& Dave, Wilson Picket, Eddie Floyd, Tommy James
and Bruce Chanel to name but a few. This gives the show
a truly authentic sound and feel.
The combination of specially choreographed
dancing, (adapted from the original film to create that
energetic 'Blues Brothers' atmosphere), the fantastic
vocals, superb music and spectacular slapstick comedy
makes this show a great all round entertainment package
for any type of venue, audience or occasion.
As and when the occasion requires, dancers are added
to further enhance the already stunning visual impact
of the show, they're not just there to look pretty,
they are an integral part of the show and help to make
an already brilliant show even better !
Further options are available, Depending on Budget
of course !!
The boys can perform as a 3 piece with the addition
of either a live guitarist or a saxaphone player, both
popular options !!
Also available with a 4 or 6 piece band. (6 piece with
brass section)
Or go for the spectacular, Featuring Jake, Elwood,
The Dancers and the band for a monster 12 piece show
!
Review
On the 16th October 2006, the Illinois
Blues Brothers were asked to appear at the prestigious
Showcall Showcase organised by The Stage Newspaper.
As well as being given the following excellent review,
the boys were also one of the expert choices for the
day, high praise indeed from people who are not easily
impressed !

Showcase 2006
"Proving that you shouldn’t have
any preconceptions about an act came with the
Illinois Blues Brothers, about as good a Jake
and Elwood tribute as you’ll get. Having
sat through enough poor imitations, it’s
immediately obvious that these guys are at the
top of their game, love doing the act and are
fastidious about getting it right. Fancy footwork,
a real sense of the anarchic and just great
fun - on this showing they’re the standard
by which other Blues Brothers acts should be
judged. "

Showcase II 2007
"The last time I saw the Illinois Blues
Brothers, I was pretty sure they’re one
of the best tributes around, and that still
holds. Packed with energy, there’s a fizz
to their act that is sometimes missing from
others of their ilk and, vitally, they look
every inch the part. Add some nifty footwork
and good vocals, and you have everything any
booker could surely want from a Blue Brothers
tribute."
